MUMBAI: A lot of negativity is surfacing around us ever since the deadly pandemic has hit the globe for more than a year now. 

If that wasn't enough, we were getting to read some shocking news of several well-known personalities being involved in controversies. 

A few days back, Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal's public feud was all over the news where Nisha accused Karan of domestic violence. The matter escalated out of hands and both are now accusing each other of various things.

Today, another TV actor who has been a hot topic of discussion among the fans is the popular TV star, Pearl V Puri. 

The actor has been accused of rape and molestation of a girl. This news came as a huge shocker for everyone. 

Well, no one is ready to believe it and various TV celebs have come in support of the actor saying that he is not such a person to do this.

This is not the first time, a well-known TV personality has faced such a serious allegation. 

Many television actors were previously accused of rape and molestation charges. 

So, let's take a look:

1. Piyush Sahdev

Beyhadh actor Piyush was arrested by the Mumbai Police on the grounds of the rape of an actress back in 2017.

2. Sai Ballal

A woman accused Sai of harassing her. She further said that Sai contacted her on WhatsApp and started sending her obscene videos including a few pornographic clips. Post this, Sai was taken into custody.

3. Khalid Siddiqui

Khalid Siddiqui was arrested by the Khar police after he had an altercation with his estranged wife Raahat.

4. Alok Nath

A veteran writer-producer of the avant-garde 1990s' show Tara fame, accused actor Alok Nath -- known for his sanskaari on-screen image -- of sexually violating her almost two decades ago.

5. Aman Verma

Aman Verma, known especially for shows like Khul Ja Sim Sim, was the target of a casting couch sting operation which was aired on India TV in March 2005. He was recorded asking for sexual favours in exchange for career-related help.
