MUMBAI: Ishqbaaaz gained a lot of popularity for its storyline and stellar cast. Audience loved the chemistry of Nakuul Mehta and Surbhi Chandna, who played Shivaay and Annika respectively. Recently, it took a generation leap which led to the exit of the entire original cast except Nakuul. Post leap, a lot of new actors entered the show. Later popular actress Niti Taylor too was roped in to play the female lead opposite Nakuul. 

However, post leap, the plot of the show did not succeed in wooing the audience like before. The show received a mixed response. Now, finally, after a run of good three years, Ishqbaaaz is going off air on 15 March 2019.    

Last evening, as the team shot its last episode, some of the original cast members joined in. Actors like Leenesh Mattoo, Shrenu Parikh, Mahesh Thakur and others were spotted having a good time. To mark the last day, the team cut a cake, too.
