Gautam Rode expresses his loss over the demise of his 46-year-old driver to Covid-19 and asks his fans to stay safe amid the pandemic

The pandemic is far from over and has claimed the lives of many across the globe. TV actor Gautam Rode and his wife Pankhuri Awasthy have also lost one of their most trusted staff members, Ravi to Covid-19.

MUMBAI: Gautam took to his Instagram to mourn the loss of Ravi, who was not only his driver but also his Man Friday, Personal Assistant and driver.

Sharing his photo with Ravi, Gautam wrote, "His name is Ravi . He was with me for more than 6 years. He was only 46. He was my Man-Friday, Driver , Personal assistant, Most trusted staff. He was very close to Pankhuri as well as my whole family. He was the purest soul I’ve ever known. We lost him to Coronavirus a few days back. It’s a personal loss to us. His words still echo in my ears ‘JI BHAIYA NAMASTE’ .. We miss you Ravi and we will surely meet in some other world .. While I write this I remember my best friend ‘WASEEM’ .. I don’t understand why such good people have to go so early in their lives."

Gautam also shared his concern regarding the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic’s situation in India and has requested his followers to stay safe.

He added, "There is suddenly very less coverage about Covid-19 and honestly I don’t trust the numbers they show in the media .. Whoever I know or speak to especially in Mumbai and Delhi, either them or their relatives or friends or acquaintances are getting affected by this Virus. Guys please take care this is getting worse .. Please don’t take it easy .. Follow all the necessary protocols.. Earlier they were saying that people above 65 were getting seriously affected. But that’s not the case anymore.. Now It’s seriously affecting every age group.. So please take care of yourself and your family.. God bless us all."
