MUMBAI : Ashnoor Kaur who started her career as a child artist has come a long way and is one of the top-rated actresses of the small screen. 

The actress is popularly known for her role on Star Plus' hit show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai. Ashnoor played the role of Naira Singhania. She was a part of the show for almost a year and ruled several hearts with her stellar performance. 

And now, here's an interesting thing which not many are aware of. The makers of the show wanted to retain Ashnoor's character further and wanted the actress to play the grown-up Naira's role. Yes, you heard it right!

However, Ashnoor's parents were reluctant and didn't want their daughter to romance onscreen at such a small age. They also wanted Ashnoor to concentrate on her studies. 

Hence, with Ashnoor's exit, the makers found Shivangi Joshi who played the grown-up Naira and the rest is history. 

Ashnoor was last seen in Sony TV's show Patiala Babes.
