MUMBAI: Anas Rashid is popularly known for his role in Star Plus' famous drama series Diya Aur Baati Hum. The actor played the lead role of Sooraj in the show opposite actress Deepika Singh who played Sandhya.

Deepika and Anas' pair became extremely popular among the viewers, which was also the reason behind the show's popularity.

Before Diya Aur Baati Hum, Anas acted in shows like Kahin Toh Hoga, Kya Hoga Nimmo Ka, Aise Karo Na Vidaa, among others.

Anas is related to Saath Nibhana Saathiya fame Mohammad Nazim. The actor played the role of Ahem Modi in the show. Nazim and Anas are cousins. 

Mohammad also did many TV shows like Shaurya Aur Suhani, CID, Laal Ishq, Udaan, Roop - Mard Ka Naya Swaroop and Bahu Begum.
