He won the hearts of the sports enthusiasts with his amazing cricketing skills and jovial personality. He is widely regarded as one of the most destructive batsmen of all time.

Also popular as Viru, he is quite active on social media. He often shares posts on his Instagram handle to treat his fans. Fans too look forward to his posts. Needless to say, he enjoys a huge and crazy fan following.

While Virender Sehwag has a huge fan following and many may also try to copy him, he too had once revealed the name of the person whom he used to copy. The cricketer was so inspired that he used to watch him on television, and tried to copy him outside the television.

Well, in a throwback interview, Virender Sehwag was asked if he ever drawn inspiration from an athlete who is not a cricketer. To this, he had said to firstpost, “No, because I was playing game of cricket, so my hero was Sachin Tendulkar. I was watching him on television, and trying to copy him outside the television. So that was my childhood gone.”
