According to a social media analytical report by a digital service ecosystem in India named ‘TO THE NEW’ veteran Amitabh Bachchan has been crowned the undisputed king of Twitter among his Bollywood counterparts. As of today, the ageing star has got 7,682,978 likes on Facebook. The Bollywood Twitter Index reveals that Amitabh Bachchan continued to reign over the micro-blogging site with the highest number of followers clocking a growth of 87 per cent over that of last year. He is followed by the Khan-brigade –Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. Among the actresses Priyanka Chopra has been ranked at number five. So much so, she is the only actress who finds her presence in the top five Indian film celebrities’ list. Despite garnering a number of followers that amounts to 151 per cent more over that of last year, Madhuri Dixit narrowly missed making it to the list this year. She was edged out by Sonam Kapoor who took the number 10 position with an 87 per cent increase in her followers since last year. Other significant gainers include Akshay Kumar with a 99 per cent increase and Deepika Padukone with an 82 per cent increase in the number of followers over the last year.
