MUMBAI : Sonakshi Sinha is one of the most talented and loved actresses of the Hindi Film industry. The actress is currently enjoying accolades for her performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar. She finally married the love of her life Zaheer Iqbal in an intimate ceremony on 23rs June at her Bandra apartment.

Sonaskhi and Zaheer later hosted a lavish wedding reception at Shilpa Shetty’s restaurant Bastian. The actress meanwhile has been facing brutal trolling for her inter-faith marriage. Amidst all this, Sonakshi’s father Shatrughan reacted to his dearest daughter’s wedding saying, “Yeh bhi koi poochne ki baat hai? Every father waits for this moment when his daughter is given to her chosen groom. My daughter looks most happy with Zaheer. Unki jodi salamat rahe.”

He added, “44 years ago, Shatrughan Sinha married a very successful, very beautiful, very talented girl of his choice, Poonam Sinha. Now it is Sonakshi’s turn to marry the boy of her choice.”

Sonakshi Sinha became a minimalist bride for her civil wedding by dressing in a stunning cream-colored saree with thread-embroidered floral designs. She paired her drape with a straightforward blouse in stripes. To round off her ensemble, the bride added a stack of bangles, matching earrings, and a vintage necklace with pearl drops and valuable stones. Her bridal look was enhanced by subtle makeup, a bindi, and a bun hairstyle topped with white roses.

Sonakshi and Zaheer shared blissful pictures from their wedding captioning it, “On this very day, seven years back (23.06.2017) in each others eyes, we saw love in its purest form and decided to hold on to it. Today, that love has guided us through all the challenges and triumphs… leading up to this moment… where, with the blessings of both our families and both our gods… we are now man and wife. Here’s to love, hope and all things beautiful with each other, from now until forever. Sonakshi Zaheer 23.06.2024.”
