MUMBAI:  With support from Mythri Production, Ranveer Singh and South filmmaker Prasanth Varma were about to collaborate on the massively expensive movie Rakshas. But a few days ago, an entertainment portal revealed that  Ranveer will no longer be appearing in the movie due to a snag in the collaboration's preparations. Instead, they chose to separate because of their divergent artistic styles.

Days later, the actor and Rakshas's crew finally broke their silence to declare the termination of their partnership in an official statement.

As of today, May 30, Prasanth Varma, Mythri Movie Makers, and Ranveer Singh have all formally declared their amicable split from Rakshas in a statement. They are confident that they will work together at some point in the future, though.

Reacting to the decision, the Simbaa actor stated, “Prasanth is a very special talent. We met and explored the idea of a film together. Hopefully we will collaborate on something exciting in the future." where  the filmmaker Prasanth Varma said, "Ranveer's energy and talent is rare to find. We shall manifest our forces combining soon sometime in the future.

It is worth mentioning that a source close to the development had shared “They were exploring and deciding several solutions, but they have decided to move on now with the promise of collaborating in the near future.” Prasanth will now be looking to restart the casting process for Rakshas, as he intends to bring this film to the big screen before moving on to Jai HanuMan.

However, a close source of Ranveer's had disclosed that the actor has been preparing for parenthood in 2024 by taking things slowly. . “He is prioritising family over his hectic film schedule. While he is hearing a lot of scripts, his focus is to invest more time in the family. He is secure with his line-up while continuing to read more to have exciting projects under his kitty. The two confirmed films at the moment include Don 3 and Shaktimaan. There’s Aditya Dhar’s  Next also in the writing stage,” the source shared.
