MUMBAI : Renowned director Anurag Basu is getting ready to begin production on his upcoming romance movie, which will star Triptii Dimri and Kartik Aaryan. The filming is scheduled to begin in August 2024. This announcement opens the door for this new romantic epic, as Basu wraps his work on another significant project.

According to the popular news portal, the upcoming romantic saga will be produced by Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series banner. The source revealed, “There is a change in place. Basu is teaming up with Kartik and Triptii on an original romantic film and not Aashiqui 3. The prep work has already begun, and a team led by Bhushan Kumar is already working on curating a music album that suits the world of this romantic saga.”

Kartik Aaryan has a busy slate ahead. He will be seen in Chandu Champion on June 14, where fans can witness his transformation. Following this, he will appear in the much-anticipated Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3. After completing Anurag Basu’s romantic film, Kartik will move on to Vishal Bhardwaj’s next project, Arjan Ustara.

It has been reported that Basu would begin work on his much-anticipated biopic about the great performer Kishore Kumar after the untitled love drama is completed. By the end of 2025, the production on the biopic is expected to get underway.

“Kishore Kumar Biopic is currently in the script stage and will go on floors by the end of 2025 once Basu wraps up the yet-untitled romantic saga with Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri. It’s a story which Bhushan Kumar and Anurag Basu have been wanting to passionately share to the world and are closely working to lock the script. It will move into the casting stage soon,” the source added.

Anurag Basu is still an active force in Bollywood, presenting a wide range of interesting stories to the screen, and he has some fascinating projects lined up. Both the romantic drama and the biographical are highly anticipated by fans who hope to see more of the renowned director's stunning films.
