MUMBAI: Daisy Shah made her debut in Hindi films opposite Salman Khan in Jai Ho, back in 2014. During an exclusive interview with TellyChakkar, the Race 3 actress opened up about a time when she was stuck in the USA and Salman had helped her. She was also asked about her bond with Salman.
"He's always been very cordial with me. Jabhi koi problem hoti hai, kisi cheez ke andar samaj nai aati toh he is my go-to person, mujhe samjhaye, advice deh ki kaise kya karna hai, ya eske upar kya hai; he's always going to be my mentor at the end of my last breath".
"Other than that mei Bollywood ke logo se kinara nai, abhi bhi milti hu utne hi enthusiasm ke saath milti hu, woh bhi mujhe tne hi cordially milte hai. Kuch projects hote hai jiske andar aap fit karte hoh aur nahi karte hoh. Woh again makers pe depend karta hai with director ki unke character ke andar aap fit karte hoh ya nahi. Maybe I have not been a part of films for the longest time. Also because the maker is not seeing me as the character joh unhone decide kia hua hai, ya unke character bracket mei fit nai hori hongi; kabhi na kabhi koi na koi character aaega jiske andar mei fit zaroor karungi; toh director mujhe call karenge. Atleast they will get in touch with me and let me know", Daisy further said.
When asked whether she wanted to be a part of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Daisy said, "Of course I would definitely, mujhe 5-minute ka bhi role mil jaega na; mei etni khush hoh jaungi, because SLB is a director jiske saath sabhi ko kaam karna hai. I am no exception. Mujhe bhi unke saath kaam karna hai, because of the kind of beauty, and work he takes out from you even if you are not an actor. Toh aise director ke saath mujhe kaam karna hai, jaise Imtiaz Ali, even if you are not an actor, he will make sure that unko joh kaam apse nikalwana hai woh nikalke rahenge".
