Viacom18 Media Pvt. Ltd. Today (17 May 2012) announced the appointment of <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/why-imagine-tvs-vivek-bahl-shying-away-media-after-channels-closure>Vivek Bahl</a> as the Network Advisor Content. As a part of this new role, Vivek's immediate focus will be to work on the regional channels the group plans to get into. Besides he will also play a strategic role in planning, development of new content. He will report to Raj Nayak, CEO – Colors and will have a parallel line of reporting to the Regional Head.

Good news for the fans of Imagine TV’s show <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/ram-awana-play-king-chhatrasal-moti-sagars-shri-prannathji>Shri Prannathji</a>. The show went off air with the closure of the channel but now it will be aired on Sanskaar TV and Aastha channel. Sanskaar will air the content in India and viewers of USA can enjoy the serial on Aastha channel. The character of <em>Shri Prannathji</em> is played by Manu Krishnan and it is produced by Sagar Pictures.

Yesterday (26 April 2012), Tellychakkar.com wrote a story on the extent of outrage on the part of <em><a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/will-chandragupta-maurya-return-tube-courtesy-its-loyal-fans>Chandragupta Maurya</a></em>’s fans to get the show back on TV after it went off-air abruptly due to the sudden closure of Imagine TV. And if sources are to be believed, then the show is all set to return on Sony Entertainment Television. Well, if this happens, then it will create a history of sorts in the world of Hindi television industry.

Vivek Bahl was ambitious and hopeful when he was appointed as the Chief Content Officer of <a href=http://www.tellychakkar.com/news/imagine-tv-shuts-down>Imagine TV</a> by Turner. He was meeting a lot of producers and was coming up with strategies and content with which he hoped to surge ahead in the race of TRPs. But all plans proved futile with Turner’s sudden decision to pull the plug on Imagine TV. Since then, Vivek, who doesn’t carry a mobile phone, has been staying away with the media and has not come on record to state his views on the move.
