Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files opened to polarising response at the time of its release in 2022, emerging a great success at the box office. However, in an interview with Siddharth Kanan, actor Gulshan Devaiah has criticised the filmmaker for exploring somebody’s pain to market the film.

<p>The veteran actor will be essaying the role of Bharat Ratna awardee Jayaprakash Narayan. Anupam Kher had a lot to say about working with Kangana as a director of the film. He maintained during a media interaction that Kangana and he had a schedule to be shot together and that she is a brilliant director</p>

<p>He talked about how it’s not his place to criticize her choices. “She is a big star, even today and she is a very good actor, I maintain that and working with her, we didn’t gel. Working with her was a massive mistake.”</p>

<p>Talking about the performance of the film he said that the film was made with a lot of conviction and was a well-made film. “I don’t know what went wrong but I would like to believe that it’s people’s choice, what they accept and what they not and what they want to watch as well.” He is proud of his film anyway and it was a less explored genre.</p>

The digital launch of the film 'Sounds of The Kashmir Files' touched the hearts of the millions giving a never seen before experience while it shared the poignant stories.

Mithun Chakraborty had to complete an outdoor shoot when he felt something wrong in his stomach and he reportedly collapsed on the sets. When the director decided to pack up, he insisted on continuing the shoot.
