Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker says he is flattered with the clever usage of references to his acclaimed film Swades, starring Shah Rukh Khan, in recent blockbusters Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva and Jawan.

After over ten years as an actor, Ashutosh Gowariker made his directorial debut with Pehla Nasha. Ashutosh made his acting debut in Ketan Mehta's Holi, which also starred Aamir Khan. Later, Ashutosh worked on other projects with Shah Rukh, including Circus, Chamatkar, and Kabhi Ha Kabhi Na.

During the Supercar Tour, which featured a posh car parade, a terrible tragedy happened while Gayatri and Vikas were on holiday in Sardinia. Their Lamborghini was involved in a terrible rollover and subsequent crash after colliding with a Ferrari and a camper van.

After the horrific tragedy, Gayatri confirmed that she and her husband were "absolutely fine". A Ferrari carrying a Swiss couple was involved in a multiple-car crash in Sardinia, which resulted in their deaths when the expensive car caught fire.

Since Jawan is released, it makes sense to revisit the one film on which nearly everyone is agreed upon -- that this was the one where superstar Shah Rukh Khan excelled in. Yes, we are talking about Swades.
